WEALD COUNTRY PARK - NEW BRIDLEWAYS
EBA are delighted to announce that we have secured agreement from Essex County Council and funding from Natural England under the Paths for Communities scheme to develop a circular bridleway route at Weald County Park.
This project will see the existing permissive rights of way, being upgraded to definitive status and will see a newly created section of bridleway running through the woods to link up existing routes.
In addition to this surfacing works will be undertaken on the new stretch of route, on the Lincolns Lane entrance to the park and at the entrance from the Cricket Pitch. Chicanes will be installed to replace the gate close to the Bluebell woods at Sandpit Land, a new bridge will be installed to facilitate access to the newly created section of route from the 80 acres field into the woodland and clear signage will be installed throughout the park, enabling users to know the route of the definitive bridleway.
Work is scheduled to be undertaken over the summer period, with the route aiming to be completed by September in time for an official launch event in the Autumn.
