Our AGM was attended by 71 members this year. This is so pleasing to see so many members wishing to support and participate in EBA not only with attendance at our Rides but also in how we run the organisation. As usual, there were lovely cakes and refreshments served by Val and Liz and a super Raffle which Denise organised with help from other Committee Members. A first also with the sale of EBA Christmas Cards which was the brainchild of Jane Skinner. The Cards looked great and will raise a little money and also our profile.
After the report from Julia, our Chairperson and the presentation of the accounts by Louise, our Treasurer we enjoyed chatting and socialising. We then welcomed our Speaker, Deborah Hall from Chigwell Riding Trust who entertained us with a really informative, moving and excellent talk on her work as Manager of CRT over some 40 years!
We were pleased to welcome Shirley Anglin from the ECC PROW Team and also our Project Workers, Martin Crisp and Chris Rust (Bridleways Development Officer and Projects and Funding Officer respectively). It was a great opportunity to chat with Martin and Chris and also our Committee Members and hear a little of what goes on behind the scenes at EBA.
