Please note that EBA has been advised by ECC that they need to temporarily close the length of Bridleway 45, Rayne, in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Gatewood’s Lane to its junction with School Road, a distance of approximately 400 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 16/03/2020 to 27/03/2020 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and is required for the safety of the public, while installation of new fibre network is undertaken.
The alternative route will be via: Gatewood’s Lane, Dunmow Road, the Street, and Station Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 16/03/2020 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Note from EBA Committee: The section that will be closed is from the Rayne railway cafe heading towards bishops Stortford for approx. a quarter of a mile to the first small track crossing. The diversion route is down the side of the cafe, along Rayne high street and back up the next little track. See Map below:
